Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 10, 2026

Pageden ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Pageden's hosted service at pageden.app and how we use it. If you self-host Pageden, this policy does not apply — you operate as your own data controller.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. You may optionally provide a display name.

Content you create. Documents, pages, and attachments you store in Pageden are stored on our servers so we can serve them to you and your teammates.

Usage data. We collect anonymized data about how you interact with the product (page views, feature usage, error events) to improve the service. We do not sell this data.

Log data. Our servers automatically record IP addresses, browser type, referring URLs, and timestamps for security and abuse-prevention purposes.

2. How we use your information

We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not serve you advertising.

3. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share information only in these circumstances:

4. Data storage and security

Data is stored on servers located in the United States. We use TLS for data in transit and AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest. We perform regular backups and retain them for 30 days.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your rights

You may request to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@pageden.io. We will respond within 30 days. You may also delete your account directly from your account settings, which will permanently remove your data within 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels. You can disable cookies in your browser, but doing so will prevent you from staying logged in.

7. Self-hosted deployments

Pageden's source code is available on GitHub under the Business Source License 1.1. If you self-host Pageden, you are the data controller for any information your users provide, and this privacy policy does not apply to your deployment.
